Course Delegate Specification

The objectives of the course are enable delegates to:

  • Identify hazards and associated risks involved when entering confined spaces.
  • Select, inspect, use and respond to appropriate gas detection.
  • Implement emergency procedures.

  • The inspection and use of rescue equipment.
  • Situation assessment.
  • Casualty assessment.
  • Rescue procedures.
  • The use of rescue breathing apparatus.

Training Method

Highly participative with practical demonstrations highlighted by use of PowerPoint and Videos along with group and individual exercises.

CERTIFICATION

Certificate of Competence valid for 3 years followed by 3 day refresher every 3 years thereafter.
