Asbestos Awareness Training

Duration: ½ Day

Course Delegate Specification

All personnel involved in maintenance, repair, renovation and demolition industries where Asbestos may be present.

The objectives of the course are enable delegates to:

Be aware in all areas of construction of the hazards of asbestos,

Identification of Asbestos on site,

The different types of Asbestos and the risks to health they present (increased risk to smokers),

Typical areas where Asbestos may be found,

The actions to be taken if Asbestos is found.

 

Please note that the course does not cover the handling, removal or disposal of Asbestos. These activities are strictly regulated by law and must be carried out by specialist licensed contractors.

Training Method

Highly participative by use of PowerPoint and Videos along with group exercises and individual assessment.

CERTIFICATION

Theory and test paper resulting in a certificate of attendance. UKATA accreditation available on request.
